A sourced ArcheAge Chronicles wiki for launch: four classes, eight weapons, Auroria regions, bosses, PvP and the November 3 Early Access details.
ArcheAge Chronicles Wiki
ArcheAge Chronicles launches into Steam Early Access on November 3, 2026 at 3:00 PM PST for $29.99. It is a buy-to-play online action RPG with four classes, two weapons per class, three Auroria regions and no subscription announced. PS5 and Xbox versions are listed for wishlisting, but no console Early Access date has been published.
ArcheAge Chronicles is not a remake of the 2014 MMORPG, and it is not the old 220-class sandbox. XLGAMES has rebuilt the game as a character-action online RPG: you pick one of four fixed classes, choose one of two weapons, and build depth through stat points and a weapon-specific trait tree. This wiki keeps the confirmed systems separate from the speculation that has piled up around the name.

Release date, price and platforms
The Steam store lists November 3, 2026, and the official announcement pins the unlock at 3:00 PM PST (23:00 UTC). The price is $29.99 with no subscription announced. The pre-order bonus is the Dawn Pioneer Set, a costume for one class that is claimed in-game at launch.
PC is the only platform with a confirmed Early Access date. The official site links to PlayStation Store and Xbox Store pages, but those listings are wishlist pages, not pre-orders. The Epic Games Store page is also a wishlist listing. If you want to play on day one, Steam is the only store that currently sells access.
The launch build is Windows-only. Minimum and recommended specs are on the system requirements page, and the short version is an RTX 2060 SUPER / RX 6600 class GPU for 30 fps at 1080p low, with 100 GB of SSD space.
The four classes
XLGAMES has revealed four classes, each with two weapons at launch:
| Class | Weapons | Role in the reveal material |
|---|---|---|
| Warrior | Longsword or Greatsword | Duelist or frontline bruiser |
| Ranger | Longbow or Hatchet | Ranged precision or mobile melee |
| Mage | Elemental Staff or Thundersword | Elemental damage and crowd control |
| Berserker | Axe and Shield or Warhammer | Initiator, protector, heavy frontline |
This is a fixed-class game. You do not combine three skillsets into a named hybrid as in original ArcheAge. The customization sits inside the class: six primary stats, a separate trait point pool, and two weapon trees that change skills rather than only stats. The class system explainer covers that structure in detail, and the classes tier list ranks the four for launch.
Gender is locked by class at Early Access: Warrior and Berserker are male-only, Mage and Ranger are female-only. XLGAMES says gender selection will be added class by class, starting with a female Warrior in the December update. That update also adds the Gladius as the Warrior's third weapon. The gender lock page tracks the roadmap without pretending the restriction is already gone.
Eight weapons, not eight classes
Every weapon has its own trait tree. A Longsword Warrior and a Greatsword Warrior share a class but not a rotation: the Longsword tree leans on parry timing and a blood-price branch, while the Greatsword tree builds Resolve and spends it on heavy finishers. The same split exists for the Ranger's Longbow and Hatchet, the Mage's Elemental Staff and Thundersword, and the Berserker's Axe and Shield versus Warhammer.
Trait points are not level-up points. They come from Raeven's Coilstones, which sit near powerful bosses in the open world, in hidden locations, or behind quests. That means exploration and boss hunting are part of build progression, not optional side content. The weapons reference lists all eight launch types and what each tree changes.
Auroria at Early Access
The demo only covered Diamond Shores. Early Access opens most of the rest of the game plus two new regions, Gylden Ruins and Astron Plains. XLGAMES describes more than 60 areas, roughly twenty times the demo's size, with 1,000+ exploration and collection points. Each region has its own story, field bosses and dungeons.
The three launch regions are the backbone of the Auroria map guide. Field bosses roam the open world and drop gear, accessories and unique crafting materials. Dungeons are instanced for solo play or parties of up to four, with shared quest progress. Hersander's Tower adds a per-zone riddle offering, a unique accessory, and the Hereafter Challenge, which spawns a buffed zone boss on a timed leaderboard.
PvE, PvP and life skills
Combat is action-first: jump, fall, roll, dash, block and parry, with melee, ranged and magic weapon movesets. Parrying a ranged attack reflects it. PvP is opt-in by channel: standard channels block player attacks, while PvP channels flag everyone except party and guild members. Switching happens at a Nui Statue and has a cooldown. Monster kills in PvP channels give a 10–15% EXP bonus, but there are no player-kill rewards at launch.
Life skills return in a smaller form than the original game: hunting, gathering, housing, farming, crafting and trading with other players. The store page explicitly mentions trade runs and defending trade routes, but structured PvP around trade runs is still described as a planning goal, not a launch promise.
What is still unknown
No level cap has been published. No endgame raid schedule has been published. No cash-shop pricing has been published in text. Race selection has not been shown as a separate character-creation choice; official material presents class, gender and appearance, and the old races are lore. Those gaps are tracked in BLOCKED.md rather than filled with guesses.

FAQ
Is ArcheAge Chronicles an MMO?
It is an online action RPG with shared open-world channels, field bosses, party dungeons and PvP channels. XLGAMES calls it the next evolution of the MMORPG, but its structure is closer to a session-based online RPG than the original ArcheAge's full sandbox.
Is ArcheAge Chronicles free to play?
No. Steam lists a $29.99 buy-to-play price. No subscription has been announced. A cash shop is expected, but XLGAMES has not published its pricing.
How many classes are in ArcheAge Chronicles?
Four at launch: Warrior, Ranger, Mage and Berserker. Each has two weapons, giving eight combat playstyles. A third weapon per class is planned, starting with the Warrior's Gladius in December.
Can I play ArcheAge Chronicles on PS5?
Not at Early Access. The PlayStation Store page exists for wishlisting, but the only confirmed November 3 launch platform is PC via Steam.
